Recent Developments: NIH Funding for Alzheimer's and Dementia Research - Potential Increase in 2

I was recently informed by the Alzheimers Association that the U.S. House Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services, (Labor-HHS) Education and Related Agencies Subcommittee has proposed an historic $401 million increase for Alzheimer's research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the fiscal year 2019 budget. Although this is still in the early stages this is very encouraging! Alzheimer's is a national epidemic with 47 million individuals living with dementia worldwide! Every 66 seconds someone in the US develops dementia. So, stay informed, get involved, and be heard!
