National Cherry Blossom Festival- PETALPALOOZA

Petalpalooza® will feature live music on multiple outdoor stages, a beer garden, all-ages activities, product giveaways, a spectacular fireworks show by Pyrotecnico, and much more along the piers of the Southwest Waterfront. Take in the half-mile-long stretch of The Wharf’s shops and restaurants as the National Cherry Blossom Festival transforms the waterfront community into a one-day-only springtime spectacle!

Note: Fireworks show begins at 8:30PM, but the festivities get started at 12PM. Keep checking back for more updates and the full schedule of activities!

THE CHERRY FUND CELEBRATES 24 YEARS OF GIVING BACK!

The Cherry Fund, established in 1996, and located in Washington, DC, is a not-for-profit independent, all-volunteer organization that serves as a spark to ignite the dance music community for a greater good. The Cherry Fund actively raises funds to support the HIV/AIDS service and prevention community via charity dance events. Over the years, CHERRY has collaborated with the biggest, most progressive names in dance music, to host some of the largest parties in the mid-Atlantic.

Adventures in Learning Spring semester

The Spring semester of Adventures in Learning (AIL) is approaching!! They have a great lineup of classes for older adults - t'ai chi, bridge, health and wellness, book discussion, world affairs and an array of potpourri topics.

Great volunteer options too!!!

Classes meet on Thursdays, 9am-2pm and run from April 18 to June 20 (no classes on May 2 or May 30).

Tuition is $45.00 per person; you may register at any time during the semester.

Arty Queers, is a monthly indoor LGBTQ+ Art Market at the DC Center.

Arty Queers takes place the first first Saturday of each month from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Join us to discover original artwork including paintings, pottery, photography, jewelry, glass work, textiles, and clothing.
